The Scissors Tool is used to cut existing lines or notes into separate pieces for individual editing. I typically use this when notes or lines have been generated automatically, and need to be separated.
We'll take a look at automatically generating lines or notes shortly. The Magnifying Glass is used for zooming. Simply click and drag a box around what you would like to zoom into, and release to zoom. The I-Beam Tool is used to select an area of time to be used edit with in, or generate data between.
