500e software

One thing I need since I do a lot of quilting designs by embroidery machine is a Cloth Setter. I can't seem to hoop the quilt sandwich easily. I also need a vertical spool holder for embroidery designs and quilting with metallic threads. Please consider manufacturing these accessories. I've had my E for over a year and overall I'd say it is a good little machine. I have two questions that I'd appreciate answered. First, why when an embroidery design is saved in the JEF format must I also go through the Embroidery Editor so the machine can access it?

Also, is there any chance for an update to a larger embroidery hoop? Thank you. You gotta get this machine!!! Wow, I can only say wow, and wow again. I sew a lot, but not with an embroidery machine. This is truly a wonderful and friendly machine. I named mine Doozy, because she is that. But, it really helps to just watch the video, it only lasts a couple of minutes, and sit and read the book.

Saves you a whole lot of time. I also got the MBX V5 software. It has been a love hate relationship. But, any new software is. It has now become much easier. It has so much, I still don't know what all I can do.

But I am doing a whole lot. The best thing you can do for yourself in regard to the software, is download and print out the pdf manuel. It helps so very much. I go thru the different sections, and always find new things I didn't know I had. But this machine is the best. Not cheap, and I don't have a lot of money to spend, but I have never been sorry I bought this machine. It truly does beautiful work, and so very little is ruined because of a thread break, or bobbin issue, of which there are not many..

You can just go back to where the thread broke, and go from there. No more waste. So easy to use and learn. Buy it, I don't think you will be sorry you did.

I was up and sewing within 2 hours of brining it home, and that's because I read the book first. I'm a nerd, cant help it. This is my third embroidery machine, each one giving a larger hoop size. It is awesome to use. Has great features. It is easy to use even if you are a beginner and after owning this for almost a year I am still learning new ways to use it. Each pattern comes out like it should. The thing I don't like or haven't found out how to do yet is turn the hoop when the pattern is sideways and it does not fit.

For that you have to enter the design into software or have the maker turn it for you. An inconvenience. That is the only complaint. I would recommend this machine to anyone. I've had my E for several months now and really love it. I love the quality of the stitching and how easy it is to attach the hoop. There's a few things that I don't like about the E and that is having to oil it monthly. The first time I did it my husband had to help me because I am not very mechanical.

It's not an easy thing to do. I broke my USB stick because I forgot to remove it. That's my fault. The other thing that I had trouble with was the bobbin threader. It never worked from the start. My solution was to buy pre-wound bobbins.

Also I have another Janome sewing machine that I used in case I wanted to use the same color thread in the bobbin. Another thing that didn't work for me was the needle threader. That's okay too because I can thread the needle manually. The last thing is having to transport the machine. It can be tricky with the arm not being able to be removed. I ordered the trolly so I can transport the machine when I need to take it to the dealer.

I LOVE this machine. I looked at a lot of different machines before getting this one. I have had it a little over a year and have done everything from making onsies to quilting a small blanket.

If you are looking for an embroidery only machine this is a great choice. Love this machine! I have had my machine for over a year now and am very happy with it! Love the larger hoops! Have been having problems lately with the needle threader but not a huge problem yet. Thanks for a wonderful machine! I purchased the e about 9 months ago. This machine is amazing.

It has tackled everything and that I threw at it. There was an issue with the motherboard about 4 months after I got my machine but it was replaced and running wonderfully. I have seriously thought about getting a second e but have decided to go for one of the multi needle embroidery machines.

Thank you Janome for making such wonderful machines I am a loyal Janome embroider and quilter. I have had my e for about 7 months and have a lot of fun with it.

I have made several projects as gifts, I have even done some quilts as gifts, too! I have had my MCE for a little over a year. I love it. It was very easy to learn, compared to my first embroidery machine. The stitch quality is very good.

Ease of using and connecting the hoops to the machine is very good. The embroidery field size is good, but I still wish that it would embroider a larger area. I am very happy with this machine. I absolutely love it. The different sizes of hoops are probably my favorite thing. I just wish that I had more time to use it :. I have owned my Janome e for over a year now. And I love it. It is easy to use and I like the hoop sizes, I wish they would update it though for the magnetic hoops. But I still use it almost everyday.

Love it, but I struggled with an embroidery machine of a different brand for a number of years. The MC is not only easier to use, but much more reliable. I have purchased a few patterns that ONLY come in a 12" size The will not even open the patterns so I could minimize them.

C'mon, Janome! Design a bigger hoop, or change the software! I really enjoy my machine. I know there are many many things this wonderful machine is so capable of.

Love It! Fantastic machine!! My first embroidery machine was the combo, Janome MC It was over 20 years old and I was still trying to embroider with it. When I was introduced to the e, I fell in love.

Ten months later, I still love my girl. It's a great machine. Love the big hoop. The needle threader isn't a problem after I learned the trick. What a mess. Not once, but twice. You've got to be very careful winding. Looking to buy a new Janome for strictly sewing very soon.

Love my Janome's. When I first purchased my E, I was very dissatisfied with the machine. Sent it back to the manufacturer for taking a look at the different issues I was having. I now love my machine.

I have thoroughly learned and am comfortable embroidering on the E. The only downfall is that I would like a larger size hoop, as a lot of projects I have wanted to do use a larger hoop than the largest one that comes with the machine.

I would recommend this machine to anyone and take the time to read the instruction book and have patience with learning all the different techniques. Love it!!! I am very happy with my Janome I now have the best embroidery machine available. I use it for many things stand alone embroidery to quilting with patterns on memory sticks.

It is far more versatile than I ever imagined, I am still looking for the little purse pattern we made in class with monogram. My granddaughter was so thrilled with it. Thank you Janome America for your dedication to superior products,.

Super Machine! Had the E for several months now, and no issues whatsoever. Love the fact we can service this machine ourselves with details in the owner's manual. Really like my machine. Have had a few issues but managed to fix them without a service call. I do wish the largest hoop was a little larger as their are projects I'd like to do that won't this machine.

Review of e. Things I love - a reasonably priced embroidery only machine with decent sized hoops. Easy to use, included software is easy to use, quiet. And most importantly, the machine creates beautiful stitches. Things that could be better - the needle threader never works for me, but I can thread manually much faster.

Hoop envy - most of us always dream of a bigger hoop. BTW, my dealer told me I didn't need to oil the entire machine as the manual showed - just do the more easily accessible parts that have felt.

And bring the machine in for servicing as needed. My husband and I followed the entire procedure once and it was hard - especially doing the bottom part when the arm was in the way and vulnerable to damage. I wish Janome provided more support and videos for their machines. For a while Amanda Whitlock was with the company and she had hopes for doing more. Unfortunately, I don't think anything came of it - at least I never found more training and ideas from her.

Love, Lowe, Love my e. I have had my e for over 2 years and am so pleased with the quality of the stitching. Every design has sewn out beautifully. I also have the e and am still using it but I really love having the thread cutter on e.

I would love to see a smaller hoop, but not as small as the 10 b. A true 4x4 would be perfect to round out the hoops. Thank you for such quality products. I am a happy embroiderer! A Pleasure to Use I use my Janome E nearly every day for the 8 months that I have owned it. The machine is smart, amazing and pretty much flawless. I am not.

So if something is not right, it is due to human error. The included Owners Manual is well written. It shows maintenance I can do myself like oiling. I have not needed any support to keep the machine running well. The only two improvements that would be helpful is larger hoops and a slightly larger screen to see small fonts and designs. Overall I feel the Janome E is the best machine available for the money. Scofield Mom. This is the best Janome embroidery machine yet! I'm still using my MC and E.

The functionality of the E with the larger hoops is definitely a big step up. I love all my Janome machines! Upgraded for larger hoop and one my local quilt shop could support and service. Easy to use and embroiders beautifully.

So glad I made this decision! In late I started with the MCe to see if I would enjoy machine embroidery. I was hooked! A few months later I bought the MCe. When I saw the sneak peeks of the e I knew I had to have it! I actually bought two of them so my BFF could have fun embroidering without the frustration her little Brother machine gave her. OMG, the things this machine can do! Who else has 7 standard hoop sizes?

I love, love, love the on board editing capabilities, I can do anything right in the machine that the expensive softwares can do. I love playing around with letters and border shapes, arcing them and just playing around.

I just can't say enough great things about the built in editing. It was one of the big selling points for me. It's so easy to do, really anyone can do it. The manual explains it very well.

The manual is better written than many I've seen, and explains things so that anyone who embroiders can understand it. Grab a cuppa something and sit down with it. The first thing I do with any new machine is read the manual from cover to cover then go back and read it again. I downloaded the manual before I even bought the machine so I had a head start. The e can do so much that I keep the manual handy when I'm using it. The number of built in designs and all the different types of designs is great too.

I've done some gorgeous projects from the built in designs. I've never had an issue with any type of thread, I think Janome machines are the least thread picky of any machines I own, though I usually use a separate thread stand instead of the built in one. I've embroidered everything from lace to quilt blocks to towels to heavy vinyl and light leather with no issues what so ever.

The e does it all and does it beautifully. In short, this is a fantastic machine and I would buy it again in a heart beat. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I love my Janome E. It embroiders so beautifully. I never have any problems with the tension or needles breaking like I have with other brands. The embroidery hoops are large so I can make the items I had been wanting to do.

This is a five star machine! I have had the machine for almost a year now and I love it. I am taking it with me when I die. I also do some large scale quilting designs on it. I just mark the center mark with a water soluble mark and then jog the needle to that mark.

I too thought I would need a cloth setter, but with the ability to jog the needle to the center I have found I do not need the cloth setter. I have had my machine about a year and love all that I am learning to do. I love the different size hoops and the look of the finished project. I have had trouble from the beginning with the needle threade and finally just don't try to use it. I am sad that my dealer closed and I have not been able to find another in my area.

I have had my machine for 2 years and LOVE it. This is my first embroidery machine. It is very easy to use and I was embroidering within 2 hours of bringing it home and setting it up.

Still working on keeping letters from a font that I have downloaded to stay together as words when trying to arrange the word. I wanted to be able to sew and embroider at the same time.

I have not had any problems with either machine and would recommend them to anyone. The shop where I purchased it is always helpful and encourages us to try new things. They have a super guy who I get to service each machine once a year. A fabulous machine! I have nothing but good things to say about it! It amazes me everyday what all it stitches beautifully.
