Now I cannot find the original CD to reload it. I asked AutoDesk via email, if they could determine if I had one seat available to load. I then called the Datamat Group here in Connecticut. I still have the invoice and thought they could help to see if I was entitled to the second seat based on my original purchase. They told me that they could help if I had the CD if not then they offered a subscription. The subscription makes sense for active firms, but I am retired and only want it for person use.
Should I contact the Boston office? Please help. Thank you Bill. Notice: updates available for Apache Log4j vulnerabilities. Filter by Lables. Failure while chamfering. Message 1 of Buying older version of autocad. I want to buy a or version of autocad but I want everything legal and upfront. If I get one from say, ebay, what all do I need to have in order for it to be legal? Would I need some sort of authorization code from autodesk for it to work?
I am not interested in any of the newer versions. Thanks in advance! Message 2 of Message 3 of Message 4 of May I ask why? Message 5 of Thank you. Does this mean that all those copies that are for sale on ebay are not legal? If they aren't then how can people get the authorization code to be able to use them? I presently use an antique version of autocad: i. I want to get a bit more modern in the version I use but I tried out and just flat out don't like it.
Message 6 of I've got 'em on disc, but the OP presumably does not. Message 7 of My guess would be that'll depend on the dealer. If they have the older versions still in stock, then they can provide it. Paul "Bill Gilliss" wrote in message news discussion. Message 8 of Message 9 of Message 10 of Have you tried asking your local reseller about Legacy versions?
Release 13 is actually much faster than AutoCAD at some things. Fire up that old clunker on any recent machine and be amazed as you can start drawing in less than two seconds! Recent AutoCAD releases have been getting progressively slower. Release 13 introduced many new features beyond the new interface elements. AutoCAD is very light in comparison. Although it may be possible to make AutoCAD crash, it's not that common in normal use. When Release 13 shipped, it was almost impossible to use it and not crash.
It also corrupted drawings by the thousands. To be fair, Release 13 stability did improve eventually, which brings us to our final difference.
Release 13 was followed by 13a, 13c1, 13c2, 13c2a, 13c2b, 13c3, 13c3b, 13c3a yes, in that order , 13c4, and finally 13c4a. I expect we will see AutoCAD Service Pack 1 and a few hotfixes, but nothing like the spectacle of Autodesk chasing its tail from to , removing and introducing bugs like crazy.
Where to from Here? Autodesk, after an initial period of panic, denial, and messenger-shooting, followed up in the only sensible way: by fixing the product. AutoCAD Release 13c4a was actually a pretty good piece of software. Release 14 was a much better piece of software. Autodesk put in a concerted effort to dramatically improve performance and fix the outstanding issues before shipping the next release.
Yes, it can, but not if it carries on with business as usual and ships the next release, along with another spate of unfinished new features, in mid-March The month cycle does not provide enough time to finish an AutoCAD release. Many people have been saying that for years now, and AutoCAD is the final proof. It took 28 months for Autodesk to ship Release 14, and Autodesk ultimately benefited greatly from taking that time to get things right.
If it takes the same time to fix up the current software base, then so be it. We have detected that you are using an Ad Blocker and kindly ask you to consider placing Cadalyst.

By now, some of you may have seen comments from users and observers of AutoCAD comparing it to Release That may not mean much to those of you who have arrived on the AutoCAD scene in the past decade, but let me assure you that long-termers at Autodesk cringe whenever that release is mentioned.
Is it fair to mention this year's latest and greatest in the same breath as "the most powerful AutoCAD ever"? View the discussion thread. All rights reserved.
